Project description
After the Israeli war on
Lebanon in 2006, the Client wished to build a small house on a large
plot in South Lebanon. The symbolic extents of this construction had to
be a “Peace House” (as per the client’s words), meant for spiritual
retreats and peaceful stays.
The client wanted an environmental friendly construction, thus, we
proposed a sustainable architecture approach. In the plot, we
discovered an old buried aqueduct that we used to refresh the summer
ambient air and duct-it into the house (“Canadian wells”). Passive
solar features and energy saving measures were also considered. All is
to be built in local materials.
