Project description
Quite simple in appearance,
this project was in fact more complex than we first imagined. On a
small plot in a suburb of Beirut, the building had to cope with three
main issues: 1) A tight budget for construction costs (less than 275 $
per sqm, in 2001). 2) The insistence of the client on having two floors
of retail shops on two perpendicular streets at different levels. 3)
The proximity of existing structures and a steep sloped street.
