Project description
Located in the immediate
vicinity of the rebuilt Beirut Central District, the plot had a
potential magnificent view on the Mediterranean Sea, but on a diagonal
axis, throughout the charming St-George’s bay. The aimed size of the
flats and the density of the Built up Area, led us to propose a 24
storey’s tower facing the view and a smaller 10 storey’s building at
the scale of the surrounding structures. Innovative approach with solar
panels, sunshades and energy saving measures was considered for the
whole project. We provided total flexibility in the rooms’ partitioning
layout at all floors and a large Penthouse with its suspended swimming
pool at the upper floors. Innovative materials such as plastic base
panels and reconstituted stone cladding were proposed.
